EOY Evaluations
I enjoyed meeting with all of you to discuss your EOY
evaluations. It was nice reviewing the wonderful achievements that each of you
have contributed to South Arbor. I feel honored to be a part of such an amazing
team. I know that I say it a lot, but I truly mean it. I love being the dean of the Intermediate
hall.
I will be working on finalizing your evaluations by adding
comments over the next two weeks. As I complete them, I will send you an email
to come to my office and sign. Once I have your signature, I will provide you
with a paper and electronic copy.
Reading Street Testing Schedule
To reduce anxiety and ensure our students can focus on one
assessment at a time during this testing period, we discussed during
grade-level meetings amending our Reading Street testing schedule. We will
continue these conversations for Unit 6. Please see below as a reminder.

Lunchroom Help!
It seems the behavior in the lunchroom is getting worse. Even with our wonderful parent volunteers helping to open food packets and answering student questions, most do not feel comfortable enforcing lunchroom expectations or correcting student behavior (which is completely understandable). However, it makes it increasingly difficult for me to manage almost 300 students’ behaviors alone. Almost every day, I have to deal with discipline issues after lunch. I need your help. Please have daily conversations with your students about appropriate lunchroom behavior. I really appreciate your support.
M-STEP
As you know, M-StEP begins the Tuesday we return from
break for 5th and 8th grade. I will be busy during that
time, but if you need anything, please do not hesitate to seek me out. I may
not always be visible, but I am here for you. J
