Late Pickup

The new procedure for late pickup will start on Monday. From Megan's email last week, "Students who have not been picked up (approx. 3:30) will be heading back into the building. It will be your responsibility to come into the building to get your child. Each hall has a teacher that is designated as our "late pickup" teacher. If you have students in multiple hallways, you will be responsible for going to each of the hallways to pick up your child from the teacher on duty. In order to find out which teacher is on late duty, please check the list on the security doors at the main entrance. Any student that has not been picked up by 3:45 will be in the main office. Again, school does end at 3:15, so we ask that you are considerate of this."

The reason for this change is that some of our parents are actually enjoying the late pickup process because they are able to pull directly up to the curb and get their children without the hassle of waiting in the lot or even walking up to the curb. It is almost better than curbside in some respects! As you are well aware, late pickups cause a great deal of inconvenience to us and we don't want it to be something that parents use to avoid participating in normal pickup procedures.

Thanks, Jen for letting me plagiarize your words! :)
