School-wide Engagement Goal

Thank you for the discussions during your O3s about our enrollment goal-establishing a strong partnership between home and school that will enable parents to support learning at home. Some of the creative ways that each of you support this goal are listed below.

·  Send fluency checks home with students for parents to administer. They are located in your Reading Street Fresh Reads book.

·  Send graded assessments home for parents to review with students to address misconception and correct mistakes.

·   Require parent signature on test scores 2.0 or lower

·   Email parents their student's academic needs and provide resources for parents to assist at home

·  Provide parents with helpful tips handouts: book list, websites, ways to make homework less painful, reading strategies, etc.

·  Email parents once a week acknowledging all of the students who have completed all of their work for that week.

·  Every student required to have a parent signature on their planners

·  Parent volunteers come in and work with small groups during reading
