I
absolutely loved observing all of your workshops these past two weeks. Every
workshop was set up differently, but one thing that was the same in each of the
classrooms was the differentiation provided to students. Each of you were
intentional with meeting your students at their current learning level to guide
them to the achievement of their own individual academic success. I can’t
express how great it was to observe this! Keep up the great work!

Observations
All of you received your personal goals sheet
last week. I’m excited to see your goals in action, so please schedule your
observation for this week.
Missing Attendance-Teacher Policy
Taking timely
and accurate attendance is very important both for student safety and for state
auditing purposes. When student attendance is not entered correctly it can
impact our state funding as well. As discussed during your grade level
meetings, any teacher who has incomplete weekly attendance three
times within a trimester will be required to submit a Weekly Attendance Grid to
their dean for the remainder of that trimester. The printing of the weekly grid will help the teacher
and dean to more closely monitor attendance taking with the goal of 100%
accurate attendance from all teachers.
Planning and Assessing
Don’t forget that this week, November 2-6, I will be focusing on the
competency of Planning. If you have any evidence to support any of the four
indicators, please bring it to your O3. We will discuss and rate all four
indicators at that time.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
In addition, please make sure that you have all Reading Street weekly
assessments integrated into the gradebook. The week of November 9-13, we will
begin to analyze various Common Assessments reports during grade level
meetings, which address the competency of Assessing focusing on the indicators
of Implementing Assessment Strategy and Analyze Data.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
