Observations and O3s

All FLO and goals are complete! Thank you for commitment to your professional development.

There are no observations this week, but we will be having O3s. Please bring your completed Emergency Sub folder that contains two days of lessons and all accommodations logs (SpEd, IAT, and 504s) for me to review and sign.

Workshop Observation


Please schedule one 30 minute workshop observation for either the week of October 9 or October 23 using our Google Doc. I will be focusing on the competencies and indicators of Planning: Differentiated Planning and Teaching: Personalized Instruction. Please schedule by Thursday, October 5.

Classroom Framework Evidence

We will begin our normal Classroom Framework schedule in October. Please start to collect your evidence and/or begin to think about when you want me to observe your instruction for the following competencies.
 
Week of October 9-13: Planning
·        Bring lesson plans for the weeks of September 18, 25, October 2, and 9 (to be included as FLO #1 evidence)
·        Schedule a 30 minute observation for me to observe your workshop this week or the week of Oct 23 (to be included as FLO #1 evidence)

Week of October 16-20: Teaching
·        Schedule a 15 minute Teaching observation

Week of October 23-27: Assessing
·        Please bring evidence to your O3 for the indicator “Actionable Feedback” (to be included as FLO #1 evidence)
·        We cover the first two indicators during grade-level meetings, but additional evidence can be brought since we haven’t administer interims or unit assessments yet. (to be included as FLO #1 evidence)
·        Schedule a 30 minute observation for me to observe your workshop if I didn’t observe it the week of October 9. (to be included as FLO #1 evidence)
 
 Don’t forget the Classroom Framework schedule for each month

O3s and Observations

Full lesson observations begin this week. I will be observing the competencies of Classroom Culture and Teaching.

There won’t be any regular scheduled O3s, instead only scheduled Goal Setting O3s.

Moral Focus Grading

As a reminder from our grade level discussions, you will enter four Moral Focus grades per month/virtue. Two grades for behavior and two academic grades based on the criterion below.

Academic Scoring Scale:

·       3.0 fully completed

·       2.0 partially completed

·       1.0 adult assistance needed or not attempted

Behavior Scoring Scale:

·       Use NHA’s Moral Focus Virtues Rubric

Lesson Plans


 
If you are planning on submitting lesson plans, it begins next week. Remember that lesson plans will be due October 9-13 at your O3 for the following weeks: September 18, 25, Oct 2, and 9.

O3s

O3s begin this week!  During your O3, we will discuss your Classroom Culture observation, if applicable, and discuss the Goal O3 setting process.

Full Lesson Observation #1


 
Full Lesson Observations (FLO) #1 will occur September 18-October 10. This is a 30-45 minute observation that focuses on all four competencies from the Classroom Framework. Please schedule your FLO #1 using the shared GoogleDoc by Friday, September 15.
Please note: You have three weeks to select from when signing up for FLO #1.

I will be collecting several pieces of evidence for your first FLO ratings. See below for the evidence needed. We will discuss this in further detail during your grade-level meetings.


Classroom Culture
·        Evidence will be gathered from the FLO

Planning: due October 9-13 at your O3
·        Submit September 18, 25, Oct 2, and 9 lesson plans for evidence; if applicable
